YIKES! I bought this bed a year and a few months ago. It was very difficult to put together in my opinion (then again, Im not great at assembling furniture). But it took me a very long time. We barely used this bed. One day I sat on it and it fell/ I heard a crash. Im a small-sized adult. The support beam completely broke off of the footboard. I contacted customer service and since it was outside the 1 year warranty they wont replace it. I dont really want it replaced anyway because this is clearly a safety hazard - Im just happy it wasnt a bunk bed!!!! Buyer beware - this is not a sturdy piece of furniture! Spend a bit more and get something easier to put together and more reliable!
I spent a long time researching bunk beds across various sites and this is as my number one choice due to weight capacity. My older son sleeps alone up top but my 3 year old still wants a parent to snuggle with before falling asleep. Many bunk beds had a weight limit of 200 lbs which just wouldnt be enough for a parent and 2 kids. The added bonus that these can be separated into 2 distinct beds if we wind up in a larger house with more room. The beds were easy to assemble and I did it myself up until the twin needed to be lifted over the full - thats definitely a 2 person job. Instructions were easy to read and follow, all of the materials were included and in perfect shape. Weve been using the beds for over a month and the quality is great - very happy and would recommend.
Assembly was done in 3 hrs. No parts missing. Instructions were easy to follow. Very sturdy construction. The description indicates 400 pound weight...be sure to include the weight of the mattress. ( Note: certain mattresses may need slats that are spaced closer together) I contacted the company to ask if our 15 year old grandson, who weighs 140 pounds could sleep safely on the top bunk. They advise upgrading the slats to a set that are spaced closer together. I believe the company sells them for an additional $80. The bed slats that comes with the bed are spaced 9 inches apart with a metal support bar that runs perpendicular down the center of the slats. I decided to wait upgrade the slats if necessary. It seems to me the original slats would be sufficient when SLEEPING as the weight is evenly distributed over the area but it may be wise to upgrade the slats if used when sitting on the bed where the body weight is over a small area.
I searched for a bunk bed for my two boys that would convert to two separate beds with a distinctive head and foot board and this bed does not disappoint.
Very sturdy, the weight capacity is what sold me. The rail not he top can go on either side as well as the ladder. The assembly took us awhile - specifically the slats for the head/foot board. But I have nothing bad to say about this bed. My kids love the shade of navy is perfect and its stylish enough for teens boys as well.
We bought 3 of these for our vacation home and the first one took 4 hrs to put together but the other two only took a couple hours. Directions are pretty good. Large printed pages with drawings of how things go together. Packed extremely well and the cardboard box is one tough box as I found out trying to cut it up for the recycling bin. These beds hold 450lb each! They do not look cheap, dont feel cheap and the painting of them (we got white) was as smooth as could be. Tools included for their screws but its helpful if you have a power drill to help with securing the slats. Oh and the slats are attached to each other which secures them in their position under the mattress (not included) after you attach them to the bed frame with included screws. We are very happy with these beds!!
This bed is a great value, and I would purchase again without hesitation. Perfect for a childs room. I did not assemble, but my son and his friend did. Together, it took them less than an hour. Both said it went together easily and felt to be of good quality. Feels so much nicer than IK$ furniture, which I would never purchase again.
Nice accent piece for room Very pleased with this bed. Its solid wood and extremely sturdy and stiff once you get it together. Instructions are straightforward, but you will need a drill to fix two brackets and a few screws for which there are no predrilled holes. You dont need to pre-drill the holes, but youll want a cordless drill with a Phillips bit to drive them in. You also need to measure and mark the cross brace brackets on the foot board and headboard to make sure theyre at the same height and even with the side rails. The instructions dont tell you to do this. Go slow,, measure twice. Otherwise pretty straightforward.
Very stylish and great quality! The bed was easy to assemble and seems sturdy. When a local mattress company came by to drop off my 3yos new mattress yesterday, he commented that the bed needs additional slats or that Id need to place a piece of plywood over the slats to prevent the mattress from developing a wave. An annoying extra cost/step but otherwise, the bed seems good.

The product is very comfortable Delivered in less than three day. My kids love this bed so much 9 year old on the top and 24 year old on the bottom.
