Good for the price and looks nice Identical to the Better Homes and Gardens Leighton twin (available at ) for $179. Great bunk. Use a drill to get those hex screws good and tight. Bed is solid, doesnt budge.
Reasonably easy to build. I read several other reviews before purchase and agree on a few points. 1. A allan key drill bit and a drill gun will save you some blisters and an extra hour of work. I powered through with the tools provided but sorely missed being able to use my power tools. Perhaps the company could provide one? 2. Some complained about the quality of the paint finish. Ours is white but I can see a little bit of the wood grain where the paint is thinner. Its not an issue in white but I can see how this would be an issue for the grey or other darker finishes so be advised. The white is easy to scuff too so if I had more time and patience, I would have coated with polycrylic spray.
I had one board that has a 2-3 inches gash that was painted over but decided to keep as is because that board was wall facing.
Ease of assembly and comfort are most important to me. Met my expectations. My daughter loves this bed and gives us the extra room for storage under the bed for some of her toys
