This is a solid frame and it looks really nice. It was so easy to put together and it holds up. No creaking or shifting or anything of that sort plus theres no need for a box spring as it comes with slats. I looked far and wide for an affordable platform bed and this is the one! All other options dont really compare especially for the price.
When you assemble this bed, you will see a couple of strips on the slats that say remove the upper strip. The strip beneath is sticky and helps to hold the mattress in place. I hired someone to assemble the bed and he removed the upper strips. Unfortunately, the lower strip said Remove upper strip. Not realizing that the upper one had already been removed, I inadvertently removed the lower sticky strip. The lower strip should say, Do not remove. Anyway, I contacted the manufacturer and asked if they could send me a couple of the strips. I made it very clear that I didnt need anything but the two sticky strips and sent a picture of the bed to them. Instead, what they sent me is another set of the slats. Anyway, Im am happy with the bed. It looks exactly as pictured. I put a mattress on it and it is very comfortable and the mattress doesnt move despite the missing sticky strips. I would caution that if two very large and/or heavy people plan to sleep in it, you may want to make sure how much weight it supports.
There are great product designers at . They made the whole assembly process neat, tidy, organized, easy. In the most brilliant move ever by a furniture company, they give you an Allen-key ratchet tool that makes the whole thing bearable (your wrist will thank you for the upgrade from the basic Allen). If you have ever assembled any item from then you are more than equipped to handle this. Im a medium-sized woman and did this by myself in under 45 minutes. The hardest part was getting the long, heavy package up the stairs and unwrapping all the parts. Get someone to help you carry the box, its about 12 feet long and at least 60 lbs. The wood is lovely, solid, and honey-toned. Not cheap, nor flimsy. A great height — I have a hard time getting off low profile beds despite being in my 30s, so this feels like a better real bed height. I spent weeks looking online for a bed that didnt have toxic upholstery, 100 pounds of wood and metal, was under $300, and wouldnt take hours to put together. for the win.
I was able to assemble this bed as a solo person in less than an hour. Easy to follow instructions and easy assembly! The frame looks really nice and is comfortable as far as sleeping goes! I am able to store suitcases and baskets under the bed to provide a little extra storage for myself.

I admit that I was more than a little hesitant to order this bed on line but the necessities of Covid 19 gave me little choice. I am more than happy. I cant accurately assess the ease of setting it up because as an older, single women it was not something i would even attempt. The two young men that I hired seemed to have no difficulty and they were even able to easily attach my headboard to the frame. The bed is higher from the ground than I expected so there is plenty of underbed storage space. I will have to add a dust ruffle to cover it up so I will lose the platform bed look. It is not so high however that I have problems getting off and on. All in all it more than met my expectations and I am glad that I gambled on this instead of the traditional metal bed frame that was suggested for head board use.
