Do not let your husband climb in the bed for night time stories if he is over 100lbs. My husband bowed the boards on the bottom lmao! Other than that it is a great bed for a smaller child. My son is age 4 and its perfect for him despite what the age range says. Yes, Its great. loves it.
I would recommend this loft bed!!
We ordered it for our 6 year old son so he would have more play area in his room. Its not as tall as I anticipated but still good! I am 52 and the bed hits me right at my shoulders which Im good with but if you want taller this is not the bed for you. My son loves it/ hes got his bean bag chair under it. a toy chest his iPad he says its his own little club house. Like!
I purchased this bunk bed about a year ago, almost anyways. I read the prior reviews and still made the decision to purchase. I do not like the giant sticker on the front headboard rail. They could have done something else. But this bed is for children so hey safety first always right. Trust me no parent will miss this warning. Goo Gone will take it off. Or just cover with a body pillow. The stairs do hurt, they are thin rails and the height to go up is kinda short so the immediate weight you put on is what makes it hurt. I covered with grip tape to help cushion. Now the assembly. Oh my, I was in tears only because it took troubleshooting to realize the VERY BEGINNING of the instructions is WRONG! The steps are switched. I wish I had them in front of me to really remember. But I can tell you if you get to a point to where you have to find a mallet or hammer to beat in THAT IS WHERE THE PROBLEM IS! You never have to do that in assembly, its because the steps were switched. Other than that, no squicking issues. Fun Fort room underneath. I ordered the Pink. Works well.
Arrived quicker than expected. Very heavy in the box. Took about 2/3 hours to assemble by myself with a drill and proper drill bits. They give you a tool, but a drill speeds things along.
Used the space below to stick another mattress so my 2 year old could hang with big brother.
Kids love it. Few safety concerns, lowest bar could catch a tow, kids jumping off top, you know, the usual issues with youngins. Very durable.
For the price this is such a cute bed and it is sturdy and easy to put together, we had no issues with construction. As other reviewers mentioned, the giant warning label is annoying and could have been placed better, its not removable. Also, the rails are pretty low and def needs a special lower height mattress to be safe. Our regular size twin mattress was flush height with the rails, providing zero protection from falls. So we had to order a 7 mattress. I think you would need a 6 if using for a younger child even. Worth considering into the price of the bed! Very good value.
Great for small spaces. Bought one for my 9 and 13 year old and should have not gotten the junior, but it still works out great for them. A little shaky, but nothing that concerns me. Would be okay for younger kids, Id be hesitant putting anyone under 5 up there. Put lights underneath and some cube storage, very thrifty. Assembled Quickly.
Like the under space great middle height its possible to place mattress on floor and have as a bunk bed. Like the east assembly. Some bolts required extra effort to install. Did secure to wall due wiggle when on bed and moving around. Do not recommend using without a board underneath if using foam mattress. This works.
This loft bed is perfect if youre not looking for something too high off of the ground. It has plenty of storage space underneath, as well as tons of space between the bed ceiling!
However, if I could change anything about this loft bed, it would be:
1) the option to order the bed with higher rails (my daughter has a pretty thick mattress), and
2) the ladder. The bars/steps are thin round, so they are painful on your feet / even my 30lb toddler complains about it, so the majority of the time, we have to pick her up put her in bed. Do the work.
