The allen screws are easy to strip. Had to cut a slot in some when I disassembled the bed to move it.

    Worst experience to build

I swear building this bunk bed almost ended my marriage. It was the most difficult thing I have ever assembled. The instructions were horrible, the pieces did not fit together well, everything needed a stupid special wrench and hand tightened bolts. And it really doesnt feel stable.

The Best We Found, but Be Prepared for Tedious Work

Overall a great product that had easy assembly, albeit with lots of little parts. This bed is fantastic and has high side rails for the top bunk. The assembly was rather intuitive, but the crossbars (22 for top and 22 for bottom) where the mattress goes were joined together by small plastic pieces (one per bar) and another plastic piece that links the two bars. This undoubtedly makes the frame much stronger, but it is timely. Add to that tiny tabs that go above each end of the crossbars (44 for top and 44 for bottom) and the monotony drives you crazy. But it really didnt take that long so this is still a four-star review. Another negative, is they provide an Allen Wrench, but not just a bit for an electric screwdriver. Also, theres not appropriate room (i.e. its too close to the bar where they couldnt centered the hole more) to use my DeWalt with this without having insertion issues.

    Great Value for the Price!

Used for about two months now and no major squeaking or loose hardware that others complain about. To be fair, I use the bunk for overhead storage, not people. I weigh 250 and have had no issues. Lots of head room. Futon folds/unfolds well, but requires steadying (hand on bunk) to keep the bed from sliding back while folding up. I even have it on iPrimo 8 Risers and no wobbling during normal use.

    Good bed

Great bed for the price. Some time needs to be set aside to assemble but all tools needed came in the box.
