This is a nice sturdy loft bed. The reason for overall 4 stars is because the desk was missing some screws and pegs. Which isnt a big deal because they can be picked up at the hardware store but we had to stop what we were doing and finish it the next day after we got the missing parts. Just frustrating. Also I didnt like that the ladder steps werent with the flat side down. My granddaughter has sensitivity issues. She would never have gotten in the bed if we left the steps that way. We turned them so they were flat. Obviously this voids the warranty. But she now loves her bed.
Its not that difficult to put together. Two 55+ year old women did it. It took us longer to open the boxes (between all the glue and tape) than it did to put the stuff together. Needs better support
Ordered two, both arrived well ahead of schedule. Instructions were very clear and easy to follow. Packaging was very solid and the product was extremely well protected. It took me roughly 9 hours to assemble both by myself. Wood is very solid, a beautiful product. My only complaint is I had to drill one missing hole and realign one pilot hole, took 10 seconds. Very impressed. Easy to assemble just takes a while
This bed is great. Dont get the knock off thats a little less expensive. This is the sturdy one. They use wider boards which make it sturdier I think this is a good option
Super cute style and my daughter loves it! However it is NOT easy to assemble. The instructions list part letters/numbers but the parts didnt have any sticker with any letters/numbers on it! It took us all day This product is pretty decent for the price
I spent months researching which big girl bed I wanted to get my five/year/old. I kept coming back to this one, but some concerns I had made me hesitate. First, I was a bit worried about the ladder. My daughter is not an adept climber. But now thats its here and built, I realize that I was concerned for nothing. She gets up and down just fine. Its a low loft. The height is perfect. Standing up, I can lean in and kiss my daughter goodnight with no problem and Im only 54. I also dont need to worry about her safety if she has to get down in the dark to pee in the middle of the night.
My second concern was that the description here on has the bed listed as cappuccino/zebra while the photo shows a white bed. I wanted the white, and the reviews werent giving me a solid answer on whether or not I would receive the bed in the description or the one in the photo. I rolled the dice, ordered the cappuccino/zebra, and thankfully, a white bed arrived! Hooray!
My daughter LOVES this bed, so much that the past few nights, shes asked to go to sleep at 6PM and actually did, never once coming out of her room.
Overall, It took my husband and son about 5 hours to put together. No problems arose. All parts were there. No nicks or damage. Paint job is beautiful. So far, the bed is sturdy and exactly as described. I moved the dresser across the room to make a little fort underneath. We put up Christmas lights and my daughter is in heaven. Its her new favorite place to hang out. If I had this bed when I was little kid, my parents wouldve had to drag me out from under it. It really is cool and surprisingly spacious. I was able to sit up comfortably underneath. The dresser is small but the drawers are roomy and held the same amount of clothing that her previous did, and it was twice the size on the outside. The desk itself is sturdy but does move too much on its wheels since its meant to slide in and out. My husband is going to just anchor it in place, an easy fix. Im so glad I decided on this bed. I just adore it and wholehearted recommend. and came earlier than expected
Sure, everyone wants the best furniture in their house constructed of solid wood. Yet, throwing 2/3k for a bedroom set for our toddler was just not possible or really even smart. Plus, with our upcoming need to make room to add a crib in the same room we knew we needed to save as much space as possible. After reading over all the reviews on the low loft bed we knew this was the right product for us, even if there was some concern on the holes not lining up properly.
The bed arrived in multiple heavy boxes (youll definitely want some help to get them inside and into the bedroom youre building this in). The instructions provided were clear and easy to understand and the hardware was always connected to each box via highly visible red rape. Oh, if you still have that second person handy I recommend you keep the around to help you build the bed frame portion of the build as it can be tricky to get everything to balance. The dresser and bookself portion of the build are easy enough to put together yourself. All in all, it took two of us about four hours to assemble it all. Every predrilled hole lined up perfectly and we had no missing hardware of any kind.
Now, the real plus of this product. We were able to get rid of a dresser, a bookcase, a toy bin, and a daybed and replace it with just this one piece of furniture. I cant believe just how much of a space saver this low lofted bed is. Oh, and our daughter loves it.
Note, we have not yet installed the desk portion yet so thats the only thing I cannot yet review. Yet, with how smoothly the rest of the build went and the quality behind it I have no concerns!
In the end, this bed set exceeded my expectations and Ive recommended it to our friends. This is awesome!
Some edges on the shelves are sharp. Some slats were already arching.
The ladder for climbing is not rounded snooth or flat so its hard on the kids foot while climbing I would be returning
Perfect for our 8 year old. I damaged a couple parts putting it together. When I emailed the manufacturer , they emailed me back quickly and were very helpful. Excellent customer service goes a long way. Plus, my daughter loves her new bed. Easy setup and sturdy!
