It is a beautiful contemporary fan and the price is right compared to similar models. The blades are real wood but very light, almost like balsa wood. One had a small blemish similar to the one mentioned in the very detailed review by another buyer. Because the wood is so light and soft, I suspect it could be a packaging issue, with one blade pressing on the other, as the blemish is in the same spot. I cannot comment on the actual performance/noise level etc as I was waiting for an electrician to come, and while inspecting everything to make sure nothing was missing, I noticed that the milk glass had many black baked-in impurities on the inside (see attached picture). This does not show on the other side and would not be an issue if you do not turn the light on, but they would show when the light is turned on and look like small dead bugs. One star dropped due to poor quality control on the glass. Also it would be nice if this unit came with the option of installing the light module or not.
The fan is nice but there was a mistake in the description. Once the seller was informed, they corrected it immediately. I appreciate their responsiveness. Their action makes me feel more confident to their products.
This 54 Ceiling Fans with Lights is a replacement for an existing ceiling fan we had on our Lanai. The original fan was purchased because it was rated for use in exterior (but under cover) locations, plus my wife liked the tropical look to it, with the plastic rattan-looking blades. And herein was the main problem with it, those rattan-textured blades apparently disrupted air flow, so even on high speed you any breeze could barely be felt.
My wife saw this fan on , and to my amazement (because it didnt look tropical) she suggested that we order it to replace the prior one. I was happy to swap out the units, because among its other attributes I thought it looked very cool: kind of lake an airplanes propeller. The blades themselves are made out of real wood, not just plastic thats made to resemble wood. Not sure what species of wood is used here, but they are extremely light weight yet appear to be very rigid and strong. Another great feature is that it employs a DC motor, which is superior to traditional AC motors in that they are smaller and lighter, they use much less energy to run, they typically have more fan speeds (6 in this model) to choose from than AC models (usually only 3), and they are much quieter than their AC counterparts, which sometimes have a slight hum to them. There is a built-in light which does not need replaceable bulbs, but rather the light uses a LED design which should for all intents and purposes never burn out. Additionally, you can choose the color temperature for the light from the remote control: Cool white, warm white, or a mix of the two. Please note that in the video I attached its really hard to see the differences in color in the light. In real life, the warm white appears much redder than it does in the video, and the mix is a pleasing natural-looking color, and its nice and bright regardless of the color chosen.
The included remote control works very well. Once paired with the fan per the simple instructions in the manual, you can control the fan speed, reverse the direction of the fans rotation, set a timer for the fan to turn off after 1, 4, or 8 hours, and set the light color. The remote has separate buttons to turn the light and the fan on and off independently, and the light control does double-duty as the light color selector. There is also a button for engaging Natural Wind mode, which I think periodically varies the fan speed a bit to approximate the ebb and flow of a real breeze. Ive only seen this feature in a fan brand that costs in excess of 5 times more than this one! There is even a button called Simulate a human burglar lamp. I frankly have NO idea what this does.
The fan includes all the hardware you need to install it, and everything seems very solid and strong. There are TWO downrods included, a 5 and a 10 so you can choose the one best for your situation. The actual mount used to attach the fan to the ceiling bracket is of the ball and keyed-socket type, which is very easy to work with yet strong and ensures that only the fan shaft will rotate, and not the fan body.
The instructions are kind of hard to follow, with poor-quality illustrations and not much information about some of the steps, like how to install the lamp for example. So just be aware that it may take a bit longer to install than you might originally think. My personal recommendation is to have someone help you install the blades. The first two go on relatively easily, but the third is a real bear since the three must be squeezed together tightly in order to be able to align the bolt holes on the fan with the threaded holes on the motor. Having the second person do the holding while you do the mounting would make this ordeal much easier.
Regarding the installation of the lamp, here is a tip: You will need to first DISASSEMBLE the assembly (remove the LED plate from the light housing) so that you can install the housing to the mounting plate at the bottom of the fan. There are a ton of holes in the light housing, way more than are needed, which makes matters more confusing. One you locate and install the right holes to use to mount the housing, you need to align the LED plate with the proper holes in the housing. You should probably connect the wiring harness to the plate FIRST, else you way drop the LED plate while fumbling around trying to find the right holes to use. The 3 actual screw holes in the LED plate have a large hole to the right of each one, which you can use to sight through to the rightmost hole in the set of holes in the housing which are above each housing mounting screw. This should closely align the LED plate mounting hole to the proper light housing hole. However, in my case at least the included screws are too short to screw into the mounting plate, because the housing mounting screws act as a spacer, and the LED plate screws are rather short. Maybe I could have gotten the original screws to work but after fiddling with it for a long time I just went to my workshop and got slightly longer screws. Confusing? Without a doubt, but since the manual really doesnt say ANYTHING about this, hopefully this will make sense when you are doing your own installation.
Once installed, though, the fan works absolutely wonderfully! Its so quiet, there is no wobbling from unbalanced fan blades because they are so lightweight this isnt a problem, and the light kit is bright. Most importantly for me, you can actually feel the breeze unlike our old unit. Its a really attractive design, in my opinion: sleek and modern yet unobtrusive because of its small size. We love it! So dont let the poor installation instructions deter you: this is a great product whether installed outdoors (under cover) or indoors.
I had to actually hire someone for this installation, since were installing it on a cathedral ceiling. However, the electrician said it was very easy to install (he installed two). He was here for several things and I would estimate this took him over an hour, but less than two.
I use it with the remote only-- and it works really well. It installed into our electric box where our previous fan was. It is quiet! IT produces a nice effective breeze. The light is good, the functionality of the fan is good. It looks fantastic-- so much better than the old-fashioned five blade 1890s looking fan we had.
Definitely recommended.
This fan is easy to assemble and install, it is modern and quiet and moves alot of air. The amount of light is good for a medium to medium large room as well as the air movement.
I like the light but cuation to check the clearance in your room as if you have a low ceiling you might need to use a reducer pole connector so that it hangs closer to the ceiling as it hangs about 16 inches down. As I am 63 tall the extra head space is always appreciated so if your extremely tall keep this in mind.
This fan is nice. Installation was easy. The only issue with this fan is that the lights are not very bright you have to use the remote to turn the fan on or change the color or the light. I guess we just have to hope that we dont lose the remote? Other than the light, the fan is nice gives off a nice breeze.
The fan itself is very nice looking and of excellent quality. I doubt you will find an indoor/outdoor ceiling fan with a light and remote at this price. The light consists of total of 24watt LED lights. The fan motor is totally silent and vibration free. It also has a multi function remote to control fan and lighting. You can set it for 1, 4, and 8 hour auto shut off or you can set it to run continuously. The lights have 3 settings, Cool white, warm white, and natural light. The fan has 6 speeds and a reverse. My only complaint were with the instructions. Im not a real handy man type person but I can follow instructions and directions. These were terrible. They were full of grammatical and spelling errors, which I can deal with, but the step by step instructions were missing a lot of steps. It did have pictures and diagrams but going through the steps, it assumes a lot of things to do that are not told to do. Anyway, at the end of the day, I did figure it all out myself and I am very happy with this purchase and highly recommend this ceiling fan to anyone looking for a quality outdoor fan at a great price.

nice design and quiet
Good design made this easy for my husband to hang, and the remote control makes it easier for us to change speeds or turn off the light
Nice Fan and Responsive Seller
The fan is nice but there was a mistake in the description. Once the seller was informed, they corrected it immediately. I appreciate their responsiveness. Their action makes me feel more confident to their products.

Great value remote control fan.
This fan has a remote control with so many different functions. It has a wind speed the light feature is nice and bright. Really good value for money.
