Nice looking console but easily scratches

Very nice console. It take some time to assemble but it’s not hard. And once put together, it won’t move. Just beware that it scratches easily. Some pieces come with a protective film, others don’t (like the main top board). Ours came with the top board/mantle already scratched with a deep scratch. That was a big bummer. It still looks really nice. Other than the scratch, I love it.

    Beautiful and sturdy!

Very nice heavy duty stand! It puts out a lot of heat and looks beautiful in our den! We love the color selections and how sturdy the stand sits even on carpet. Definitely happy with this purchase!

    Very Nice

Very nice looking piece, spacious, exactly what I needed for my in home spa/gym. Love the quality, color, & spaciousness for storage. Very difficult to assemble & remote control is compact but does not consistently work. Turning the lights on or off is very difficult and challenging the light colors. I took off a star for the remote & assembly difficulty.

There will be some extra parts when yo are done with the assembly.

Very nice looking product, despite being made with particle board as opposed to plywood or solid wood. Kit was complete, arrived undamaged, thanks to the excellent packing technique. They really need to make the manuals accessible from the store website so that people can decide if they are up to this task. This is not a kit for a beginner and some special tools really help. While I assembled it myself, I have a lot of experience with this kind of thing and also with maneuvering very heavy objects safely. Recommended tools are a tack hammer (they recommend a rubber mallet), minimum 20 power driver with a very complete bit set (I got my riobi 145 piece set from Home Depot for $15). If you do this yourself you will also probably have to treat a sore back when you are done. The assembly instructions are picture only, no english verbage included. That said, they are clear enough if you take your time to study them before and during every step. One tricky thing is the removal of the front panel of the TV stand before you install it in the cabinet. There are two screws on each side (not top and bottom) and two more in the exhaust vents in the front at the top (these are the ones that I had trouble finding). Fortunately, they are a different color (aluminum) as opposed to the black ones which you shouldn't remove. The lighting is an easy install, just plug everything in. There is a cable with a doodad on front which you want to attach to the cabinet at the front (I used heavy duty double stick mounting tape to attach it to the top of the center shelf right above the TV stand. This is so it can see the optical signal from the remote control. I recommend attaching the light modules to the tops of the shelves so that you can use the entire shelf interior for storage. Positives: Looks good, works well. Negatives: Non-trivial assembly, two people recommended, could use better, english instructions. Caveats: Not for a carpeted surface. Two reasons: 1) The base is not as sturdy as I would like, particularly if you decided to install gliders for use on a carpeted floor. There is no back piece to the base. 2) The provided feet are nail in, which means that they will destroy the base and probably damage the floor carpet if you try to move the cabinet on carpet - just too much friction. This is pointed out in the instruction. Other notes: This cabinet is apparently also sold without the TV stand, in which case you get a glass shelf to install in the space. Because it is easier to manage inventory for just one sku as opposed to two, they include it in both versions. Hence you will have a glass shelf and some shelf holders when you are finished assembling the cabinet.

    Assembly is tedious :(

Very nice product. It's pretty steady and enhances the overall look of my room. However, assembly is very tedious and time-consuming. I decided to put it together on my own and it took me 5 hours. If you get this product, make sure you have at least one other person to help you assemble it. Otherwise, you may get frustrated as I did.
