Please dont buy if you live in a windy area. We used this umbrella for 1 week and the cheap plastic shiny chrome looking material that is where is tilts completely shatter off. So i cant use the umbrella any more because it flops to the side. We set it up and the wind was barely blowing. Very disappointing
It is perfect for our narrow deck. We had 12 inches cut off the bottom and we can sit in shade while the sun is going down in the west. We can still stand under it and it make a difference when the wind blows. We live on the Oregon coast and the wind can be strong at times. Great price, it appears to be well made and I think w/care it will last for several years or more.
I love this thing! I live in Washington state and my biggest worry was would it hold up to the rains we get. So far so good and Ive had it for two months now. It keeps the table and all items on the table dry. Its not as sturdy as I would like but maybe I just need a better base. The tilt on it is fantastic, although I do have to stand on a chair to reach the button and Im 57. Over all its a good umbrella for the price and I love the color (we chose navy).
Bought a cheaper umbrella form a store and didnt last the year. It fell apart. Bought this and now have had this for a year. Still looks brand new, sun has not faded it. You can tilt this and move it to shade better. I highly recommend. Very please pleased with this product.
We had a Tornado come thru unexpectedly and it was not open at the time, but still it could have been broken. It was sturdy and move around a bit but it held its ground. As far as regular stuff, it opens up and provides perfect cover for a large rectangular deck table. Wind does not cause it trouble when it is open, vn harty wind gust do not cause it to move. I think it has to do with the design it doesnt act that much like a sail, the wind just flows over it or under it, and is not caught so it stays put. It doesnt even wiggle a whole lot, even with big wind gusts. I would definitely buy it again. If my kids (who are now grown up) ever get a deck table long enough, I will buy one for them for sure.

Easy to raise lower.
The ribs are not as stable as I had hoped. We have it stabilized through a table and heavy base on our poolside deck.
Great addition to my porch
Excellent umbrella for the money.. paired with a water filled base. Perfection!
