The design is a trade off of price, durability, function, quality, and ease of shipping. I was surprised when the box arrived that it might not be the complete bed. Turns out the headboard is hollow and has all the pieces held within it. As such, the headboard is mainly looks but has a strong frame. The kit is easy to assemble in about 30 minutes. Some bolts can be installed with a powered screwdriver but others, there is not enough clearance, but their ratcheting hex tool is nice enough. With mattress in place (I ordered a memory foam), it is solid with no squeaks or creaks. For the price, a great value. I am very fulfilled
This frame was easy to assemble. I really didnt need the instructions much. The assembled frame is lightweight enough to move easily as needed. Color is right on to picture, no odor!, It only came in regular King size, so my CA King mattress doesnt fit right.
It does give a very soft and forgiving headrest when needed. The hollow headboard offers a really good hiding place for valuables can probably fit half a million in cash in there, or other valuable flat things. I am very satisfied

I love the fact that all the piece parts were stored in the headboard. Just lets me know that when I pack up that bed I can put all the piece parts back into the headboard and just move the headboard. Easy to put together, came with its own little ratchet, (I hate it when they give you an allen key and I dont even know what they call that thing that they pretend is a ). I love everything about this bed because I bought a second bed that was not from this company and it was much more difficult to assemble. I would highly recommend buying this bed! Extremely easy to assemble
This bed makes a perfect edition to my new second home. It was easy to put together and very very sturdy. We purchased a very high/quality memory foam mattress. Not only is it comfortable, but it looks great in our new master bedroom. I would highly recommend this bed to anyone looking for great quality at a great price! So far so good
