Bought my third one and they are outstanding in quality, operation and keep my Seamaster, Sinn and IWC properly wound. Price has increased 30 since my last one a few months ago so thats a bit much but if youre going to invest in the watch, put it on the winder many watchmakers use and recommend without hesitation.
Wish they were not so large and space consuming or offered some storage or other accommodation at this size but obviously Im a happy customer. Adorable.
This is my second winder. I have had a Cub for roughly a year and a half and it has worked flawlessly. I got another watch, so I bought the this time around. Overall, the quality and function is what I expected and very nice. The door is sturdy and the controls feel solid. The motor is quiet. I like that the power switch is on the front, unlike the Cub which has it on the back.
All that being said, if I have to buy a third winder, Ill go back to the Cub for one reason. The door on the Cub is magnetic and works flawlessly. The door is a little trickier. If the is sitting on a flat surface, the door wont quite open all the way, so you end up sliding the winder forward to the edge of the surface so the door falls out of the way. Also, the latch on the top doesnt flip open as easily as I expect it too. These are very minor gripes, honestly, and I dont mind to imply that its cheap or poorly designed, its just that the Cub works just a little bit better. Well worth the purchase.

I wasnt sure about buying either the or another one of similar reputation and cost. I tried both and this was the winner, the other was just behind it. I thought the other was a better fit / shape, but I could hear it running while the is silent on battery or with the included cord. I dont like how big (depth) that this winder is. Its huge and certainly more of a closet item than a for a dresser or night stand. But it works flawlessly and quality from packaging to the actual product does justify the higher cost of products. Seems like at this price point, there would be demand for the same product covered in actual leather vs whatever is covered with now which does simulate smooth leather Although that would likely double the cost, an option to consider would be nice. Havent had a dead watch on Monday morning since getting this. Will order another version to store 4 total watches due to the need to properly store expensive self winding watches; no cost savings which is disappointing, but smaller footprint. All around a high quality product and dead silent operation. Only reason for not a 5 star home run is this is a large product, much bigger than it seems it need to be, but I placed priority on functionality over aesthetics. Wish Id looked for these years ago. The price is nominal when compared to costs of watches and servicing of those watches. Perfect and Sturdy.
