works great. I have a 10 and 3 year old and they both play and everything on the bed. Its been 5 months and the bed is holding up perfectly. I was a little skeptical to buy with some of the reviews but my 10 year old gets on the top bunk and and the bed still holds up great.

Save some money and buy this. There were some marks on the bed before putting together. Came in 2 boxes. It is a very sturdy bed. I am happy with it and so are my daughters. Just wish for the bottom bunk there was some kind of cover to hide the boards from the top bunk. Worried of the little one getting splitters. It does hold a a standard twin mattress on top and bottom. I am very happy that I purchased this.
