We fluffed it 3-4 days ahead of time so that it was puffed up when we gave it to him. The bag is quite large but pretty light. You can break up the foam cube from the outside of the bag and then just roll it around to help fluff it up. Worked great for us! He loves it.
This is a good quality product that should last for quite some time; the cover is removable, and can be laundered, which is a big plus. Im not sure how they determine the dimensions though ... its pretty much a round bag.
The Chill Chair arrived compressed into a small cube. Unpacking the items you will find, the compressed cube, the micro suede charcoal grey zippered chair cover and the information/instruction sheet. (Make sure you dont toss the instructions.) First we unwrapped the foam, placed it inside the cover, then we started manipulating the foam. (To break it apart faster we rolled and rubbed it for several minutes. Our five yr old granddaughter then took over - she treated it like a trampoline for probably ten minutes.) Of course all this isnt necessary - all you have to do is break the foam up enough so that air can easily pass through. The chair will do the rest over the next 24-48 hours. But, my granddaughter is impatient.
We received the 3 foot Chill Chair, in charcoal grey. We all like the chair. Its very comfortable and forms to each person individually. Its like having your very own personalized seat. My granddaughter sleeps on it, plays her Leap Frog on it and when she wants to change positions she walks back and forth across it a few times... Why? In her words so the chair will start over, I want to sit this way now. Translation the foam molds to her in the current position. When she changes position, the chair also changes. Its very heavy - you cant just grab a corner and drag it. It takes effort. But thats okay. Its a lot sturdier than the classic, pellet filled bean bags. (And a Lot more comfortable.) The micro suede cover is machine washable. Which will be wonderful, if we can catch the chair empty long enough. The zipper is hidden by a matching flap. Thus eliminating any chance of snagging your favorite blanket or pjs.
In a nut shell - The Chill Chair has been a terrific addition to our home. Even the dog and cat have claimed a small section of the chair. So anytime one of us is sitting in the chair, the dog and cat are usually right there with us. The 3 foot chair is perfect for one person. But we like to sit together - so the 6 foot chair is already in our shopping cart at .

omg is literally was the best other than the 3 day wait time for it fully expand but it is worth the wait for sure. I would recommend when you first get it to break up the chunks it is a lot of work but speeds the process up a ton.
I was a little shocked when the Chill Bag arrived in a much smaller than expected sqaure box. Any worries I had were wiped away as soon as I saw the instructions. Assembly was easy, but be sure to read instructions carefully. All I had to do is unpack the foam, zipper the cover around it, and pull and push around the stuffing. It will take a full day or so to become fully inflated.
Some people here say this 3ft. Chill Bag is only good for children. I disagree. My wife and I both enjoyed this chair as well as our kids. My wife is 51 I am 57. It was comfortable and not hot like some micro suede can make you feel. Yes you are lower to the ground so kids might get more out of it. And if you and your spouse want to put your imagination to good use, you might find other ways to enjoy the Chill Bag.
