It came in 3 boxes marked for curbside delivery. I paid the people 20 bucks to bring the boxes into the house. Fairly easy to assemble. Its nice to have a second person available. Its functional well made for the price.
Purchased this bed several months ago. Let me begin by saying we are normal sized people. I have now noticed at least two cracks in the wood on the sides next to the drawers. I am afraid these fractures in the wood will continue to get bigger. Not sure what to do or what recourse I have. I really love the design, but it is obviously not a well made product
We just set up this bed last night. Heres the deal with the reviews that say the center supports dont reach the ground. Those reviewers have apparently put the bed rails on incorrectly. We made this mistake at first, because nothing in the instructions indicates which rail goes on the right and which on the left. They are not symmetrical, in that the ledge where the slats rest is not in the center of the rail, but closer to one edge than the other. If you put the rails on the wrong sides, there will be a gap of a few inches between the center supports and the floor, even after the leveling bolts are screwed all the way out. If this happens, you need to switch the rails. Then it all fits perfectly. Also, if you put the rails on the wrong way, youll notice that theres not much ledge holding your mattress in. Another clue youve done it wrong. Bottom line, gorgeous, sturdy, bed, poor assembly directions, but still not hard to set up with two people. Definitely recommend two people. Im happy
The bed looks very nice, but it is not sturdy. We have a California King and the center legs broke off almost immediately. Rather than being solid wood legs all the way to the floor, they have little metal screw in feet that you have to unscrew about 5 inches until theyre barely hanging on by a thread. Those broke off right away just from tossing and turning in the night.
Also, the slats that support the mattress to not reach the head or foot of the bed. I assume this is to leave room for a headboard or footboard of some kind, but when you dont have either of those, you end up with awkward amounts of space and a bed that sticks out farther than it should. Ive cracked my shin more than a few times. Thats a user error, though.
Im very happy with this bed. It is very well made and easy to put together. My wife had it nearly complete when I got home from work. It arrived in small enough boxes to get up our stairs. The plans were easy to follow. It is a very nice looking bed, and quite solidly built. It supports our memory foam mattress very well. I would recommend this bed to anyone. its very comfortable
The assembly was so insane I would never buy this again. The packing was awful and took hours to cut off of the pieces / and the parts were marred and scratched anyway. Bed is nice, I just wish it looked as expensive as it costs, with all its nicks and scratches.
Really surprisingly good quality for the price. I looked at a similar chunky bed frame from West Elm for nearly 1500 delivered, and the wood was hollow. This thing is legitimately solid wood, and the shipping manifest says it weighs 205lbs. Sturdy, doesnt wobble. The wood is weathered a bit, but looks much more sleek than rustic in person compared to these photos. Overall really happy with the product.
One thing to note / it will ship freight and mine took over three weeks to arrive.
I really love the richness of this bedroom group. I loved it so much, I have it in each of my three bedrooms.twin beds in one, double bed in another and king in the master bedroom. I initially bought the night tables and loved them so much I used them in my great room as end tables. Everyone admires them. Just use a slightly damp cloth, no polish, to wipe away the dust.
