Ive been looking at a loft slide bed for my 4 yo son for months now. I dragged my feet too long and then the quarantine happened and everyone was out of stock. I checked daily and finally had them for LESS than before!!
It took some time to get here, 3 weeks or so. When it arrived, the box weighed 90 lbs. The slide is wood and my husband took the bed upstairs in pieces. It took him approx 3 hours to build it alone. I literally had to help only once just so he could line it up. This bed makes my son INSANE HAPPY. Its absolutely adorable. I got a 6 inch memory foam twin mattress which works perfectly, leaves plenty of room for the rails so I dont worry about my son falling off. My daughter is almost 3 and she is obsessed as well, I think 3 and up would be fine for this bed. The slide is fast, the frame is sleek and pretty. A lot of the reviews mentioned the sharp edges...if my son was younger I might put some rubber baby proofing in there, maybe. I dont see it as a huge issue. This bed is really wonderful and maybe my sons favorite possession
Better than I could've imagined! This was purchased for our 5 year old who has outgrown his toddler bed. It shipped fast, was really well packaged. Instructions were easy to follow, everything was clearly marked. They give you bags of extra pieces like bolts and plastic parts, which is awesome!Set up could be done solo, but it is definitely easier with someone to help.
The space under the bed is great for storage or a small cozy space which is what we are using it for. We managed to fit a small shelf and some cushions under to make a reading nook.
Once set up the bed is really sturdy.
Make sure you measure your space first as the slide does stick out pretty far.
The 5 year old was estatic, he was so excited and played under his bed for hours. He loves that the slide is how he gets out of bed.
This bed is great!!! not sure if they've improved but these bad reviews are inaccurate. There are no sharp spots this bed was did not have bent pieces, nor chipped paint/rust. The screws and instructions were a perfect match and easy to follow, I put this bed together by myself! With the one allen wrench they provided. I'm not sure why there are such terrible reviews but this is a PERFECT bed for my 4 year old and she absolutely adores it. Bought a 6 inch mattress (as suggested) off of too(zinus brand) it fits perfectly, and this is all around a great bed and I think it will last for years to come
Took me 3 hours to put together. But I was chilling the whole time so not back at all. Definitely can be done by a lady alone. The ladder will be loude when kids run up to it so be aware. We use thin memory foam mattresses and they fits perfectly both up n down. My 3 year old can sit straight on the mattress at the bottom. So no need bed raisers in our case. I bought some pool noodles from dollar store and wrap them around some wood part just in case. But there is no sharp edges in tthe bed I received. Overall great deal. Much better quality than I expected. For the price I paid, I'm super happy

Just bought a year ago, and the weld that holds the side rail to the head post completely broke. Fortunately my son was not hurt. However, the bed is completely unusable as is. Now I have to buy a new bed for my son, and explain to him why he can't have his slide bed, which he loved.
Kids love the slide and versatility of the loft layout. We wish we could move the slide to the other side but the design won't permit it. The design was complicated and took a long time to assemble. One of our arrived without the hardware but the company sent that out right away when notified.
My 4 year old son loves his bed. He tells everyone he meets about how cool it is. It reminds me of how we thought rich kids lived in the 90s and now it's available to our door for under $200 and I'm a hero mom. Amazing.

This bed is amazing, very sturdy and as worried as I was about the edges being too sharp, they really arent. Our littlest boy loves his big boy bed!
