Very easy to assemble. I didn't need a second person, but it would've helped at one point. Everyone else keeps mentioning sharp edges on here. I ran my hand across each bar, gap, and weld that I could and I felt nothing. The only edge that was remotely close to being sharp was the underside of the slide closest to the floor, but that's not something that would ever come in contact with anything. My daughter loves it and I think it's a great deal.
After having this bed for a few months- I'd not buy another. The mattress is thin and my grandson feels the wood bars. We placed a comforter under the mattress. The ladder hurts his feet. And the wood on the sides I cover with pillow since it's not comfortable. The wood slates that go across are hollow and thin. My fourteen year old son put this bed together himself without any complaints.
I got this bed for my three year old who is about 3' tall and 40lbs. I didn't want a traditional bunk bed because I thought it'd be too high. The underneath works great for toy storage, and the bed itself is not too big especially if you position the slide against the wall. The instructions were pretty good. I do need a few more of those square soft inserts, and those plastic clips that hold the slats in place. The same one always pops off, but it doesn't affect the bed's sturdiness. All in all, I am happy with this purchase.
We recently purchased this bed for our almost 6 year old son. It was pretty easy to assemble, took about 1.5 hours, is sturdy, and our son loves it! It doesn't sit super high off the ground but there is enough room under it to put storage for toys,etc.
The bed is aaaaawwwweeeesome. My son loves it! his sisters love it! It's very sturdy and tons of fun. They love the cave area as well as the slide. I assembled the bed by myself in 2.5 hours...the instructions were pretty straight forward and easy to follow. We are very happy with the bed.

This bed is ok. It's not as sturdy as I hoped it would be but my 4 year old loves it
