I read many mixed reviews on this bed before ordering it, but we really wanted to make extra space in our daughters room, so we got it as a fourth birthday present. The parts were all in tact. My husband put most of it together in two hours the first night, then finished the stairs the following morning. We love the bed and so does she! It has space for her baby bed, stuffed animals, and doll houses underneath. She and her sister, who is eight, can both fit beneath it comfortably. I really love that it is sturdy enough that I can still lay with her before bed. I was worried that I would be too heavy, but it supports both our weight, I can even climb the stairs while holding her. (i am 5'5 and 130 lbs) It is also a perfect height so that if she is sleeping I can stand beside the bed and lift her over the guard rail to place her in bed without waking her. We were a little nervous about her being high off the ground, but the guard rail is high enough to keep her from rollling off. We leave a night light on and when she wakes up at night she is able to easily navigate the thick steps and hold onto the rail to get down safely, even when she's sleepy.
We also got a princess tent cover for the bed. It is so cute! The only down side is that where the tent hooks into the wood rails slides and bunches up easily. Also, it's hard to tuck thick comforters in at the sides because of the tight space between the mattress and rails. Otherwise, it's been perfect for us!
My daughter was thrilled with her early Christmas present of a big girl bed. We didn't notice until it was assembled that it said it was not for children under six. She's five and a half, but it was too late as we'd already disposed of her previous toddler bed. My husband was impressed with its sturdiness. No shifting at all. It is cute and the perfect height for a beginner. I love that there are stairs instead of a ladder. It feels safer than the bunk beds we had growing up. We are looking forward to getting the little fort kits that the company makes. It was a real selling point for us.
Purchased for our 3.5 yr old granddaughter as her first 'grown up' bed and she absolutely loves it! We feel secure with her being on it but not too high and the steps are perfect!
Great bed. Very sturdy. Only problem is that the bottom step/drawer is essentially unusable on thicker carpet. Another bar on bottom connected to the frame would have made it work better (to keep tall carpet from pushing up on step/drawer).
This bed took forever to arrive (ordered on the 5th- arrived on the 21st). It did take a full five hours for me to assemble, but that included the time it took me to empty the contents of the box and discover no instructions, call customer service to have the manual emailed to me, and then stop multiple times to locate a few of the100,00 pieces my 3 year old had 'sorted' for me. Assembly was straight forward , but yes a little tedious as I was only slightly exaggerating about the number of pieces. Upon completion, the bed is adorable and sturdy enough to climb up into and cuddle with the little one. i did have a rod and 3 screws left over, which to this day have no idea where they were intended to go, but whatever. A fun way to transition to a big girl bed !!
I bought two of these for my girls. They are so awesome especially for the price. Sturdy and well built. Do not wobble like my son's bed that is similar. Great spacesaver!
Affordable high quality bed, durable construction, great storage feature and perfect for my 4 year old princess, she loves it!!! Easy for her to climb up/ down and perfect bed height, not too tall. works great in our tiny apt to give her more space and storage.

HOLY BAGILLION PIECES!! BUT AWESOME BED!!
First off I want to say that this is a great bed. That's said - here are the particulars:
When this Junior Loft with Storage Steps arrived I had to get my teen daughter to help me get it in the house. (I'm a small woman, but I can usually move heavy things around without too much trouble) This box was HEAVY - And Long. So... fi you're not a heavy lifter be sure to have a help of some sort with moving this box.
After getting it into the room in which it would be set up, I opened the box to find a never ending flow of pieces to pull out. There are seriously a bagillion pieces! I added some pictures, but I didn't even get all the parts/pieces in the pictures. AND there are a TON of different types of hardware. It comes with a hex key but it's definitely necessary to have a couple of screwdrivers as well (flathead and Phillips) Now, I am pretty handy at assembling things and I usually don't ask for help from my husband unless I really need a second hand to hold things together. So, I started putting this bed together around noon (after taking ten minutes at least just to get all of the pieces pulled out of the box and somewhat organized). First off I have to say that there is a learning curve to assembling this bed. In order to put some parts together, you have to go back and loosen some other parts that have already been assembled - and there are pieces that don't go together completely smoothly and need a little persuading (not that I've ever assembled anything that didn't have parts like this). So, I worked almost non-stop until about 3:20 and still had plenty left to finish. By that point though I was seeing this as a challenge, so I was kind of excited to get my kids picked up from school and get back to finish the job. But by the time I got home, my husband was home and ready to help, though accepting help was hard to do considering the fact that I felt like I had already accomplished so much on my own and really wanted to take the whole credit for such a tremendous feat. Having the second set of hands though was extremely helpful and we finished the job in about 25-30 minutes. Standing back to look at our (MY) accomplishment, we were very happy with it. It is super cute, and very sturdy. I don't have any worries that it will teeter, break, or fall apart underneath my daughter.
In the end, this bed is EXACTLY what I was expecting and hoping for and my five year old daughter LOVES it!
This bed is great. Putting it together was time consuming, however everything was labeled really well and the directions were clear. The only issue we found was they parts did not always fit as they should and it took a little muscle to get them to cooperate. The quality is great for $150 bed, it seems very sturdy. My 3.5 yo daughter loves that she has a little fort underneath and stairs to put her stuffed animals in. I love the fort too because it hides all of her toys well. I highly recommend this bed if you are looking for a low loft bed for a young kid.

Good design, especially with the castle addition

Good bed; measurements on page incorrect.
