Decent quality, overpriced, not made in

Was happy with quality, but the description had me under the impression it was made in . I was plenty willing to pay the high price for made, but upon arrival the packaging says product of Vietnam. Its still a quality sturdy product, but if its still made overseas I wouldve expected a lower price. The finish quality and tolerances on some things are still not great. Good quality product, just not as good as the price would make you think. Also not made in as description implies

    Expected better

Low price so not sure I should have expected more. Several missing slats but packaging was cracked, so maybe fell out. Pretty low quality finish, even if its supposed to be an antiqued/distressed white. Supports in the middle (this was a king) should have more than one bolt to install so they stay secure, perpendicular. They all split (not solid wood but glued layers), so even though they work, they catch and twist on carpet if I move the bed. I may have to drill and bolt the supports together now. Dont like the way the side pieces attach to the end because you can only lift the frame from the end. The floor edges of four legs all have slight cracking. Its solid, but I do hear creaking which I dont like.

    Awesome Frame

Husband and I were upgrading to a king sized bed and this frame was super easy to put together. We got the grey color and were pleasently surprised you could still see the wood grain through it. Its very sturdy and made the room smell like wood for a few days. Would recommend this frame to anyone. Be aware that delivery of the frame the boxes are super long and can be awkward to handle on your own. And heavy. But well worth it!

    It is very sturdy!

My husband I are short people. We bought a new mattress and did not want box springs so the bed would be easier to get into. Plus I got tired of fighting with the dust ruffle on the old bed. I love the new hight of the bed and do NOT miss the dust ruffle. It was easy to assemble and looks great!!!

Almond Color Not as Pictured ( Do I have to Sand and Stain It?) Assembly Not Smooth

The color in the photos for Almond do not match what arrived. The picture looks more like a neutral brown but a very red toned wood showed up. Oddly enough the item looks more like the color of an almond. However I expect the item to look like it does in the photo, and that is where it failed. During assembly we couldnt get the outside frame pieces to fit together flush. Then when putting in the middle support slats they were too long or too short, we found that we had to rotate the center support beam that goes across around then the pieces fit better. In the end the frame seems study ( if I have issues I will report back), the color is the most disappointing as now my options are to return it or sand and restain it. I CAN NOT imagine retuning this since its so heavy and the boxes are so long it wont fit it my car. For the price I would have at least hoped that the color matched the picture. Ugh I wish I loved the color and I could look past the assembly issues and price.

    Great product

It was easy to assemble and the minimal tools needed were provided. We have slept on it for a bout a month and it seems sturdy and not noisy at all. The color is darker than it looks online, but that was perfect for us because it matches my bedroom set better. We decided to not use our box springs because the bed would be too high if we did. We are happy we purchased this bed frame.

4 Stars. Pro: Easy Assembly Con: Chipped wood

Choice Queen, Walnut. Not as medium brown as pictured. A bit darker and more matte stain. Delivery Arrived in one week from the order date. The 103 pound box was too heavy to move by myself, so I opened the box in the lobby downstairs and took the pieces up to my apartment in batches. Given the size and weight, a return was unlikely unless absolutely necessary. Why Buy It is an all wood bed without a support beam in the middle (which has been known to warp and destroy peoples floors). It is sturdy and easy to assemble/disassemble (which is key for young people who move often). I had a $80 coupon that significantly reduced the price. Cost: $358 (no tax, free shipping). Pre-Assembly I wrapped the ends of the unfinished wood support pieces in masking tape to prevent squeaking, chipping, and to ensure a snug fit. This is tedious, but worth it in the long run. I took breaks when I became bored. Also tape the ends of the middle support beam and the inside groove of the two middle support legs. Itll make for a quieter, more secure bed. After this, assembly is a breeze. Assembly Time: 10-15 minutes. The wooden frame may not want to hook in easily at first, but stay with it and make sure the corners are neatly aligned. They will hook in. As for screwing the middle support legs into the middle, I found those legs to be wider than the bean itself. There was a gap even after everything was screwed in and the middle legs were still a bit moveable. Not overly concerned as they are meant for additional support, if needed. Damage/Irregularities (Three photos included.) 1) Noticeable, sizable cosmetic chipping on two of the external bed frame pieces. 2) I also noticed a deep crack in the wood corner where one bed frame hooks in. I hope there arent structural problems in the future. 3) Some of the support slats had irregular edges and benefitted from getting wrapped in masking tape. One bar was so irregular it never really fit flush into any slot, so I put it on an edge closest to the external bed frame where it wouldnt receive as much stress compared to the middle.

    Not good

Assembly should have been easy, but the slats are different sizes and cut at imperfect angles, so putting them all in place felt like putting together a ladder puzzle on Survivor. The slats are unsanded laminate wood peices that you will need gloves to handle if you dont want splinters or tetanus (literally had random staples in some of them). The support posts will require shims because the opening on the post is so much larger than the beam it attaches to; couple that with the fact that they are about half an inch too short means they just dangle from the beams. Even putting my full weight on the beam, the posts dont touch the ground. Also, the hardware for attaching the outer frame pieces together are misaligned, meaning the joints are far from flush and look ridiculous. Very disappointed.

    So beautiful and sturdy!

Absolutely love this bed!! The almond wood color is gorgeous in person and shows the grain, which I love. VERY heavy and sturdy. Piece of cake to assemble. The California King has 4 additional heavy duty support legs under the 2 heavy duty central support beams. No odor. We have a very heavy Layla hybrid mattress on it (also strongly recommend!)
