I've had this frame for almost two years now, and here's what I'll say:
Pros:
•At the beginning, and when I was the only person sleeping in this bed, it was quiet, it didn't squeak.
•Even now sharing the bed with another adult, the bed has lasted and we have had little to no issues. It's quite sturdy for two adults under 200lbs.
•The frame itself is light weight and easy to lift or even tip on its side if you need to clean under it.
•I was able to build it mostly by myself, though I would recommend having
at least two people to put it together.
•Super easy to clean and dust.
•Frame pattern is lovely and has lasted all this time.
Cons:
•After two years (and now occupied by two petite adults), the frame squeaks a lot. Especially if your trying not to disturb your partner in the middle of the night, it's pretty obnoxious. Havent tried it yet, but might be fixable with WD40 and some re-tightening of the fasteners. Hence, why I gave the sturdiness ☆☆☆.
•Mattress does slide easily, although this can be remedied if you purchase that rubber material that you would normally put under a placemat.
•Package is heavy to carry by yourself. I was fortunate to receive this in the sticks and have assistance with carrying it and setting it up, however if you live in the city make sure you plan for this.
Overall: I would recommend this if you're looking for something light weight, temporary, and transitional, but I would not recommend keeping it for longer than 3-5 years especially if you plan on sharing it with someone. Best recommended for older children to young adults or anyone living on their own or occupying their own space. I think it's a lovely and simple addition to almost any bedroom.
The pieces didnt exactly fit in to the slots very easily and some didnt line up at all. My daughter hasnt had the bed very ling and the support legs have bent and are starting to break away from the frame Ill have to buy her a new bed soon but it was nice while it lasted
Fits nicely in my small bedroom. It's very sturdy. My only problem is the mattress slides around. My mattress is tall so that compounds the problem. I'm looking for some kind of clamp that will keep the mattress centered so I don't bang my knee climbing up on it.
The instructions are rather vague. There is a lot of pieces to assemble. Make sure you have the needed time to put it together. My wife and I put it together in 2 and a half hours. Overall though a great value for the money.
We bought this bed for my elderly mother-in-law. She loves it. We love that we didn't have to buy a box spring to go under the mattress as it would have made it to high for her to get in and out of.
