The bed was easy to assemble. I did it by myself in under an hour. My 10 year old loves it! The memory foam mattress suggestion is a good buy too. Great value for the money!
My daughter originally had picked out a similar bed frame at a certain Swedish big/box, but due to Covid and the issues surrounding getting freight through customs (or at least this is what I was told) that store was out of the frame and was not going to be restoc any time soon. As this was for her college apartment, I didnt want her sleeping on a mattress on the floor for too long, so I found this frame online and had it shipped to her. The price was very comparable to the other one, the frame arrived very quickly and in great condition. Thanks to other reviewers, I was able to message her and tell her to look at the back of the for the remaining pieces (she thought that was very ingenious) and between herself and her roommates, the bed was assembled and made up very quickly. The slatted base was a necessity, as she has a foam mattress. This bed is much nicer/loo, in my opinion, than the other one, and so far has been holding up very well (of course shes only had it for 2 months, so time will tell.) All around we are pleased with this purchase.
Ill admit that I was nervous when I opened the box but after setting all the materials aside, the assembly was quite easy!! Youll need someone to help you lift the box and assemble (hold the sides when installing). Great product, easy to understand instructions.
I like the way this frame looks, but it started crea soon after we bought it. It would creak when getting in and out of bed, or even just rolling over. For reference, my husband and I got the size, and total weight between us is 350 pounds. We contacted customer service with no response, so we started troubleshooting. We took the mattress off and discovered that the slats are just cheap/flimsy quality and that they were not attached to the cross boards at every intersection. They were only attached a few places so the majority of the slats were loose and causing the noise. My husband bought some screws and attached the slats to the cross boards at every place they met (maybe 20 screws?) Since then, its been sturdier and no more crea noise!
This is a good frame with . And at the price it is of hard to beat. I only have two complaints about it.
1. This is definitely made to use WITHOUT boxedsprings. After putting it together and placing the boxsprings and mattress on there I only had about 6/8 of to show. It really blows but I have nowhere to put those boxsprings so Ill deal with it.
2. One of the support boards they sent was too short and doesnt actually do anything to help the situation. I kept it bc ir doesnt seem to affect functionality or sturdiness plus I didnt want to think of tearing it all back down, boxing it, and shipping it back.
