Bought this for my sister when she had her baby when her glider started squeaking madly with every sweep. We love it.
The design is just as pictured - transitional. The chair came in several pieces, the back slides into place on the seat
and then is bolted, and the bottom wood pieces come unassembled. All tools, screws, bolts were included and instructions were clear. Some of the screw locations were difficult to reach, requiring that you contort your hand a bit to accomplish the assembly.
The rock is smooth and oh so quiet. I purchased another chair so we'd have one on each floor of the house. We put an ottoman in front of it for comfort, and the pocket is used for burp cloths, etc but would serve for magazines, books or a laptop/tablet.
I love this char. I bought the gold/mustard one. Easy to assemble on my own. There were a few tiny scratches on the legs when I opened the box but I dont notice them once I got everything together. I love that theres felt on the bottom. It does slide some on my hard floors when I get up, but the felt helps prevent scratches. The arms are not cushioned, but I like how deep/high they go. I keep a blanket in the chair and when I want to curl one of my legs up I use the blanket to cushion my knee against the arm part. Love the pocket to store things on the side!! Very handy for my phone, cross stitch work, and babys pacifier. The back cushion is to-die-for cuddly and cushiony! I just needed a small lumbar pillow at the base to get full back support. Ive fallen asleep in this chair multiple times. Im 56, 140lb, and my feet are just flat on the floor when I sit still in the chair.
Putting this chair together was much harder than it should have been due to some issues with manufacturing. The space between the armrests on the base of the chair was slightly smaller than the width of the backrest, so the metal pieces that had to slide into each other wouldn't line up. After struggling with it for 20 minutes, my husband had to climb into the base and sit sideways and press the arms apart for us to get the backrest to fit on. For the rocking base, some of the holes were drilled at angles where the bolts wouldn't line up with the threads and had to be manually adjusted before we could put it together. Although we like the chair now that it's put together, if I'd known what a hassle it would be to assemble I would have bought something else—definitely not a one-person or under one-hour assembly job.
The rocker is comfortable and sturdy. Having the high back is wonderful. I got the grey leopard fabric which seems a little washed out, but I still like it. I'm 5' and need a stool to rock because my feet barely touch the ground. The rocker looks great with a stool in front of it. It doesn't rock as well on carpet so I bought a hard plastic chair mat to put underneath. Now it's perfect!
Absolutely love this chair for our nursery! It receives so many compliments. My back has been killing me all pregnancy and this chair is the only one in the house that doesnt contribute to my back pain! I cant wait to use it with the baby.
This chair is extremely comfy! The material is very soft. When I first ordered the chair their was a piece missing for the legs but once I contacted the company they sent me the replacement legs and made everything so easy. The chair was very to put together. Cant wait to rock my little one

I like the look of the chair but its not the most comfortable chair, also the chair tends to love while rocking since its such a light weight chair

Cute and comfy chair, but assembly was a major hassle

Chair was not as great as I had hoped for to be honest. It was not worth the money. I was disappointed.
