This couch is good looking, firm but comfortable, light, and easy to assemble.
It is mostly sturdy, aside from a thin piece of the backrest that was broken on arrival. Its a wooden piece on the inside of the upholstery that keeps the backrest upright. With it snapped, the backrest is not firm but leans way back in a way that is very uncomfortable.
To their credit, the manufacturer sent me a whole new couch with no hassle, however the same piece was broken. I didn't want to try for another because it seems to be a design flaw, so I screwed a small steel plate to the broken part and it worked like a charm. Can't even see the plate because it's behind the cushion. With this modification, this really is a great sofa.
I love it. I bought the couch and love seat in the charcoal grey. It is sturdy. Looks great. Now my only reason why it isnt 5 stars all around is because you have to by something for the bottom of the legs so it doesnt slide around. Not a very expensive fix either. Other than that, I love it! Oh, you definitely need two people for assembly btw!! Lol
Although this couch is cute and affordable, its already creaking after 3 months. It creaks even when my 15 pound cat walks on it. I predict it will most likely break down completely within a couple more months. Please note that the couch is being used by only one, normal size person who probably only sits on it 1-2 hours per day.
So the assembly is really easy, the bench cushion is firm and supportive, but the back support is non existent. You end up having to stack both back cushions against each other to avoid sinking back and standing up sore and achy.
For a couch delivered to my door in a cardboard box, it's great and I wish there was a matching armchair instead of a loveseat. I don't think the seat cushion is going to hold up well though. After just a few days of use, it started to compress where I'd been sitting.
