Firmer than expected. Looks Great. Footstool compartment
The color is a bit cranberry red. Nice looking actually. It came in great condition and was easy to put together. It is much firmer than expected, so I dont enjoy sitting in it for long. It is hard to lock the reclining seat into position. If you push on it hard enough, like when shifting position in a stiff chair, it moves and you have to readjust it and tighten the knob again. The footstool does have a storage compartment inside it which is large enough for a book, pad, and a couple of remote controls. Attaching a photo of the inside of the footstool which I hope helps.
