It is secured with pin lock or key lock so you can still open the safe with just the keys provided. I dont own MANY firearms but I still worry about safety or home defense, so this safe make sense for me. It is heavy enough that one person is not going to steal the safe easily. Make sure to bolt it to the wall so it doesnt fall.
Inner space wise it is good for most rifles and shotguns and some handguns in the small safe box inside. Very good safe to have inside your closet btw, then hide it with clothes :-)
