I received the safe within a week but the shipping box showed some damage. Once I open the box the safe was in perfect condition other than the small cover plate clip was broken, which Alan is replacing. Not sure how the thickness of the metal of this safe compares to the other safes, but Im pleased and would consider purchasing another one. I highly recommend purchasing magnetic lights (2) so you can see inside the safe. Another reviewer suggested buying magnetic shelves, which I did, but I cannot use them because my hunting shotguns are too long and theres no room for the magnetic shelf. The next thing I need to do is buy magnets to hold my handguns in the safe instead of inside the small lockable cabinet. Hope this helps with your purchasing decision.
