Simple and Sturdy design. Easy Assembly with one person.

Easy to assemble. I received the package and as a smallish yet strong woman, the FedEx man carried it to my door, I was able to push the box down the hall. I cant say that I recommend that, find someone to at least help you carry it, or unload it piece by piece if you are working alone. The box has directions on which way to lay it before opening, follow them and it will be a smooth experience. Upon opening the box, I was a bit nervous at my ability to assemble the frame, as well as the quality and design. That feeling quickly passed. Everything inside the box was well packaged to ensure that there was no damage to any of the parts. The tools and supplies were vacuum sealed to a piece of cardboard and well labeled. All of the pieces were clearly labeled. If you unload a-z it makes life very easy. I assembled the bed alone in a little over an hour, mostly because I had to keep pushing my little dog off of the pieces as I worked. He loved the fiber bags that surrounded each piece. I did save those for projects and for storing things which can get scratched, so that was a bonus.I imagine this job would be easier with two people. The hardest thing is holding up the corners, I just pushed my toes under, rested it on the tops of my feet and pushed up. Shoes would have been a better option than bare feet. This frame is solid. As I put the frame together I was impressed by how easy the assembly was and how solid the materials were. When it was completed, the frame was very sturdy. I use a 3 cotton mat to sleep on, so I put plywood over the boards. The support beams are flexible, which is wonderful, although I believe I will put a box spring under my mat to eliminate the bounce as I get on and off the bed. I think with a mattress this would be completely irrelevant and no box spring would be necessary. I have a feeling if my mat were a bit thicker, I could lay it directly on the beams, they are very close together and very solid. The box specifically says no rough housing. I have to admit, I stand on the bed to reach the lamp and the window and walk all across it. It seems to hold up well. My 90lb dog jumps on and off of it despite my best effort to keep him off, and it has been wonderful. I cant say Id allow kids (or silly adults) to jump on it consistently. Ive had the bed set up for about a month and am still in love with it. The design is sleek and unassuming. I have a queen size in a small room and it does not look obtrusive at all.
