I put this together (female in 30s) by myself. This is a dreamy bed. You’ll want a 6-8 inch mattress on top and bottom, and 6 inch for the trundle. The instructions for this bed didn’t specify this and I have 10 inch mattresses on top and bottom and they’re a little too big. Other minor drawback is the screws provided for the slats are not long enough. They need to provide longer screws. Instructions were clear and all of the screw holes lined up perfectly. Hasn’t been slept in yet, but getting it set up was fine!
