The wood side rails in our package were bowed and twisted. I used some 4“ screws to try fixing this instead of the supplied screws. It helped but not 100%. I installed the slats while bending the side rails so that helped with the bowing. The slats are sorta weak so Im going to lay a piece of plywood on top of them. Still might be cheaper than some other options and we like the style. Not a bad deal overall but beware of the extra work.
