I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and sturdiness of this bed! It is made of solid wood and looks very high end considering the low price. My husband put it together in about 20 minutes. The espresso finish is a perfect match to my walnut furniture, and it looks great with my mid-century modern vibe. We chose to go with a shelf and large piece of art instead of a headboard and it looks fantastic. The mattress does come right to the edge of the bed, but I havent had any problem keeping the mattress on even though I didnt use the sticky strips provided. Im seriously considering buying 3 more for my other bedrooms. 2 very enthusiastic thumbs up!
