Putting it all together does take a good number of hours. However the payoff is freaking awesome! I would recommend buying pool noodles/zip ties and cutting to size for the ladders. As far as use goes, I occasionally check screws for tightening. There are light squeeks but thats the worst of it.
I stand about 72 inches tall (6 feet) and I weigh about 260ish lbs. It handles me very well considering. Getting used to climbing into a bunk style bed took some getting used to but Im good now. Yes, Its great. loves it.
