Very heavy. Sturdy. Bench is tall. Larger shoes do not fit well. Came with some minor chipping.

The particle board chips easier than I would like, already is an issue on one corner.
The hooks they provide are so tiny, they should be longer and wider. In fact I am going to replace them.
Assembly is not hard, but it took one person 1.5 hours with about 15 min of help from a second person.
Big shoes are hard to fit. My son wears a 12, and they really do not fit unless you put them in sort of sideways. I think I would actually rather that these were drawers as the shoe mechanism takes up too much space and the shoes tend to get caught at the top when you try to close it. If everyone in your family wears smaller than a mens size 9 you might be ok with the design.
It is sturdy once assembled.

I like that the bench is taller as does the aforementioned size 12 shoe son, but for kids or shorter women it is too tall. They cannot sit on it and have one foot down for balance to put on shoes.
Right now it is priced at 179. I think a lot of this must be the transport cost, because this is a teeny bit below quality and more expensive.
