This is a large and heavy piece of furniture. It comes in a big and very heavy box. You can assemble it with one person, but it will take some time as there are many parts. Overall, the quality is excellent for the price. It is sturdy and very attractive. For me, the only negative is the shoe holder portion on the bottom of the bench. The vast majority of our shoes dont fit. My husbands shoes are too long so they wont fit at all. Our larger womens sneakers and boots dont fit either. And my toddlers shoes are too small and fall through the hole in the bottom. It really only works for womens flats and sandals. The hooks are very sturdy.
