I am not someone who typically writes reviews; however, I will read almost every review before making a purchase. That said, I almost didnt buy this item because of mixed reviews and people complaining how long it took to put together well, thats why I had to write this. I have no I have no idea what took others so long. I was throughly impressed with the instructions, materials, and ease of putting this together. It took me an hour and 20 minutes and I currently have covid and am on day 5 (which I say to explain Im moving at a pretty slow pace with limited energy). Ill say Ive done my fair share of and wayfair builds and know my way around an allen wrench and picture instructions. I am pleased to say these instructions had pictures WITH words to describe each step. Honestly, one of the easiest builds Ive had with home furniture of this size. I had my husband help to lower it to the ground during one part of the build, then help me lift and move it to its final spot, but that was it. I would recommend having an electric drill on hand because you have to fasten a handful of screws on the backside, but its no big deal. Perhaps thats what took others so long? Overall, the piece is very sturdy, I love the height, and feels like it will last. Also, I didnt have any trouble with the drawers (which others reviews mentioned). They were incredibly simple to put together and the drawer rolls smoothly. That part of the project took me maybe 5 minutes. Im not sure how much weight the drawer will hold (my guess is less than 15-20 pounds of stuff), which isnt an issue for me but might be something to consider if you plan to load it full of heavy goods. If youve searched and compared dozens of hall trees and cant make a decision, try this one. Its a good size and wont have you screaming choice words during the building process.
