The color is not definitely not espresso but is in fact cherry. They definitely do not match the picture. The box we received the beds in actually said expresso with an x which is maybe how they get away with falsely labeling the color. However, the beds were well made and went together easily. They are not extraordinarily strong but they work just fine for children. Ok ok
