1966, Corinthia plush, well made and comfortable

This chair is designed to look like a chair from the 1960s. Similar designs are visible on the sets of The Brady Bunch, Bewitched and in magine photos of the homes of NASA heroes. This very chair is seen in photos of the home of Marge Slayton and Annie Glenn. Todays styles reflect a melange of everything from the 50s through the 80s. Since youve come this far, lets assume the style appeals to you. The cost is reflective of the quality. The construction is solid/very solid/ and the frame holds my 295lb frame without a creak or complaint. The is a buttery corinthian , soft and comfortable with a sense that it breaths. The chair is designed for comfort. The angle of the seat lifts the knees slightly which relieves pressure on the cocyx and lumbar. The arms are wide and long so that the arms are lifted just enough to remove tension from the neck and shoulders. This chair takes up the same space as a full/sized wing back. Its not a delicate piece for an anteroom oe a subtle corner. The box in which its delivered is large and heavy, but the only assembly required is to attach the legs. This chair is solid, comfortable and likely to last a very long time.
