This bed was terrible to put together. I am lucky I have a handy husband because if I were a single mom, I might have had a lot of trouble putting this together. The holes werent drilled through places where there were holes or the holes were missing altogether and my husband had to drill them. Every time he put a screw in, it split the wood. There are now multiple splits in the bed frame. The boards that screw in that go under the mattress were all warped. Not happy at all with this purchase. Will definitely go to a local furniture store next time. Not recommended at all. Kids love it, but hopefully the wood wont split all the way and they fall through. For the price I expect better directions and quality
