Im going to be a little biased since I was a Store Manager for Thomasville Furniture and a General Manager at Pottery Barn for years. By American furniture industry standards, this is far from an overstuffed chair or a premium velvet (its not velvet at all, its velour).
That said, its a decent chair at a great price with a couple caveats. The biggest is that the arm frames are actually rounded, so the chair relies on the seams and batting to maintain its piqued profile and that wont last long with regular use. Its also screwed into a pressboard base that will give over time and there isnt much youll be able to do to tighten it once that begins to happen.
So why 4 stars? Because its a pretty piece of furniture thats pretty perfect for very occasional sitting - as a guest bedroom chair or in the corner of an office, for example. The velour should be pretty stain-resistant and its comfortable enough for a conversation chair (not one youll curl into for hours with a book, though). And again Ill come back to the price - its so inexpensive that if you think of it as functional room deco its perfectly palatable.
