It wasnt too hard to put together, but the wood isnt the greatest quality, definitely not the quality of bed you would get from a furniture store, but I didnt expect it to be for the price. Itll be fine for my 6 year old and 3 year old. What upset me the most is the trundle though. It says its a 10.5 inch gap, but our 10 inch twin mattress wont fit, and the entire reason I got this bed was so we didnt have to throw out the twin mattress, now, not only do I have to get rid of it, but I also need to buy a small twin for the trundle.
The gap between the top and bottom is small, so Id recommend no larger than 6 inch mattresses. Overall its okay, but it would have been helpful to know what size mattresses fit best. For the price I expect better directions and quality
