This bunkbed is GREAT - here is what I have learned after 6 months of use....
I write reviews - a lot of reviews. But I only write reviews for products I feel strongly about (positively or negatively) so that I can hopefully assist others from my experiences. I bought this bunkbed 6 months ago for my 4 year old twins (in white) and have been waiting to have some clear cut pros and cons before I wrote my review for this bunkbed.
But here is the deal - this is going to be a very boring review - and the reason? This is a great bunkbed!!!!
- It wasnt too difficult to assemble - it probably took my husband and I around 1.5 hours.
- It is solid! An adult would feel comfortable sleeping in this bunkbed - this thing is meant to last - there is nothing flimsy about it!
- The drawers are smooth and I have had no issue with them on either floor or carpet.
- I like that it can be separated into beds and the ladder can either be on the right or left side.
- And it looks good!! There is nothing cheap looking or feeling about it!
The only cons I can think of is that the guard railing for the top bunk does not solidly connect, so there is a little play and it does wobble a bit. But that is one of the few parts that is not permanent (e.g., later it will be removed). And it will absolutely keep my kid from falling off the bed - so it does what it is meant to do. I just needed to find at least one con! Oh, and one other note, when I was putting the bed together I noticed gray marks all over the new white surface and couldnt figure out why... It was my wedding band - for some reason it left a mark, but cleaned off easily. So if you see strange gray marks, it may be from something metal like a wedding band.
Other than that - this bed is GREAT and we have no regrets buying it!
(On a side note, I went to and bought picture frame shelves - so they are narrow in width and have a little ledge to keep the frames on the shelf. They come in a shorter and longer length. I put the shorter length above the head part of the wall and the longer length over the wider part and it is a great place for kids to put small items. They are perfect because the shelves are narrow and they have a protective ledge to keep things from falling off. Basically it allows the kids to personalize their space and they love it.)
I will update if anything should change, but in the meantime I would absolutely recommend this bed!
UPDATE: We have now had this bed for over 2 years. It still looks great, it is still absolutely sturdy, it has no problems or issues - and I still absolutely recommend this bed!!
