Firm foam seat cushion, soft tufted back. More of a turquoise blue color making it an accent piece in my living room. Wish I was still young enough to have babies to rock however this is my favorite chair to sit and watch tv or read. Nice high back to rest neck and head. The quality is what I expected for price. This is not a high quality chair to last a lifetime. Well maybe since I am 70 it may last my lifetime. It is an attractive, comfortable piece that gets lots of compliments from friends and family.
