This is such a great bed! Took a while to put together, but overall relatively clear instructions were provided. We have a 13 inch mattress and the headboard is still really visible with it. Including pictures of a boxspring with the mattress for those of you who intend to use one. Clearly I would not recommend, as it is insanely tall that way. The wood slats are not the greatest quality so we might invest in a bunkie board at some point but overall its a great purchase! Nice size.
