It might not be too bad to assemble if you have help. I did not.
It actually has decent instructions I guess. It had all the parts too, and a couple spare bolts.
But I think I took over TWO HOURS to put this together. This is not the first thing I’ve ever put together with tons of parts.
I had the headboard together when I realized that one of the little square cuffs had come out of the arm. Does it just go back in?? NO. I had to unscrew one side to take the rod out, push the cuff in, and repeat assembly.
Then I get to building the bottom leg and realize the hole on the headboard rod is facing the wrong way. Then I have to unscrew the whole of the offending rod on the head board - which is already annoying to put together to begin with - and I’ve already done it twice. This can be considered my fault as the direction of the hole IS indicated on the directions. I am however blind as a bat, and understanding exactly which way the hole should be wasn’t super clear to me. A nice black arrow or a zoom in on instructions or even a STICKER on the bar would have made this go by SO MUCH LESS frustratingly.
As I am putting this together I notice in places that there’s little chips out of the black paint. Not just like simple scratch/cuffs, but the silver metal is exposed. I also notice the welding is sometimes kinda sloppy looking. I hope this bed frame lasts a while after all it took to put it together.
So, I put the foot of the bed together the same way as the headboard. It also has a bar with a hole. I faced the hole the same way as the headboard. THAT IS WRONG! Not only was that wrong, one side of this thing had square plastic cuffs that must have been a millimeter too small in diameter. I struggled and struggled to get the rods in. I even wacked at it with the rubber mallet (Included thankfully!) Eventually I got it together. And then when I got to step where I attach it to the midsection I realize that the hole bar does not face the same direction as the headboard. Again, it’s in the instructions - it’s just big enough for ants.
Now there are some pegs you wack with the mallet to get them into place (indicated in instructions where.) However, I’m not that strong, nor do I hit very hard, and I noticed in some places the metal warped. Not dramatically, and of course the mattress is on top so no one would see it.
The metal slats were the easiest. They just slide right in.
Some parts do not have stickers. Generally though, one of a pair of duplicates has a sticker and the other is bundled with it.
Ugh sort of a nightmare to put together
