I ordered this bed to place a Casper Wave mattress on. I initially chose it because of the number of slats, their width and distance apart. This is a solid bed--I weigh in at 240. One thing I did do was wrapped a foam pipe insulator around the the legs. As I said, this is a solid bed and my little toe kept reminding me of that. The 14 dust ruffle that I purchased here covers the legs so that you do not see them. It was easy to assemble.
