Simple and does the job. It went together fine. My wife had most of it done by the time I got home from work. When I jumped in to help finish it off. We found one of the bolt heads had material stuck in it so we could not insert the Allen screw. We struggled with it but eventually got tight enough using a pair of pliers. The other down side is the slats that run acrosse the bed rails were bowed up. Im sure it would flatten out once we had the mattress on it. We opted to shim it with some felt pads we had left over from a previous project. This seemed to do well as it filled the gaps and prevented any slapping on when in the bed was in use. We also found out that yes you can put a box spring under the mattress but it is less than optimal as it creates the Princess and the pea effect. So we removed it from the equation. The storage below the bed is quite generous even though the overall hight of the bed is rather low. Over all the bed is fine, not great but fine
Its good, not great.
