This is not the worlds most perfect bed. But for the price it is a really nice bed. The box was super heavy but nicely packaged with two layers of cardboard. I had no issues with dirt or rips. I had help to get it upstairs, but if you dont, simply take everything out of the back (all the parts were nicely zipped in) and carry it piece by piece / I could have carried the headboard once it didnt have everything else inside of it.
I managed to put it together in about an hour with my four year old helping me (which means it probably would have taken about 40 minutes without her help). The directions are pretty basic, but not hard to follow. Everything is fairly intuitive and I was impressed with how it fit together. Some of the sections where you have to hook onto took a little wiggling and adjusting of screws, but not too bad. I was a little nervous about the slats, as they are very light and flimsy wood, but once the mattress (ten inch queen memory foam) went on, I think the weight distributed fine and two adults dont seem to have any issues. Ive only slept on it one night, but it seemed pretty solid. The headboard is firm but comfortable with a pillow if you want to sit up in bed. I really liked the fabric / its not as dark as it looks in the picture, but a nice faux/linen gray, so there is a little variation and it looks like a more expensive fabric in person. The legs are fine (though there is a middle leg made of on the sides that I have already bumped into twice. I may upgrade to some nice wooden legs at some point to make it look a little fancier. I am really glad I bought this bed instead of saving up for a Crate and Barrel or West Elm bed / it looks 90 as nice for 25 of the price.
90 as nice as CB for 25 of the price
