I use these for gold panning my local river. I have used them through February the water in the river is super cold. These keep me dry and they kept me warm enough to work inside the cold water for many hours. However where the boot is attached to the leg of the waders they are slightly uncomfortable (they rubbed on my skin and it started to become painful) I recommend wearing pants and long socks underneath these to keep then from rubbing on your legs.aside from the abrasive area at the boot/leg joint these are very nice.
