Its not a bright blue it has a little bit of gray in it so its sort of muted. Its perfect. This would be a great piece if you are staging a home for sale. Its lightweight and inexpensive. I will say when you sit in it, because its not kiln/dried hardwood for the frame, there is a kind of give. Its not super super solid but its perfectly fine for the next few years until I can buy my dream sofa. By the way I looked at sofas on Article, West Elm. All Modern, and a couple other sites and I can tell you that this is the best deal youll find for a stylish budget sofa. The blue velvet sofa I liked at Article.com was over 1200. When I have more money to blow maybe Ill go for that one. But for almost 1/3 of the cost, I got a perfectly fine sofa. Best choice
