    Not bad, not great.

This was a new edition to my family room. I loved the look and the color of the door that accents colors in the large area rug. The good: assembly was fairly straight forward, though some steps felt awkward when putting it together alone. The quality of the materials is good, really nice finish on the stand. There was a small nick on the blue door at the top but it doesnt really show when the door is closed. Theres a bag of extra parts which is always helpful and in this case came in handy (see the bad). The size is perfect for my family room and the 43 wide tv / the tv is about 1/4 wider than the stand on either side. No biggie. The bad: instructions are a bit lacking in detail but if youve ever put together furniture like this before its pretty intuitive. The labeling of the wood pieces was not great. The instructions call out part numbers (1, 2, 3, etc.) but on my stand only a few of the unfinished edges were marked. I needed to match the part with the diagrams which showed the proper hole locations. Again, not horrible but annoying. The stand comes with minifix hardware this is apparently designed to lock the top, sides, and shelf in place by utilizing a small screw and cam/like system. The problem (as I found in my assembly) is the the screw doesnt really fit tightly into the holes so theres no real grip. The top, sides, and shelf all utilize wooden dowels as well, but they could be a bit longer and a better, harder wood. I broke two just trying to adjust the height (which is why I was glad there was a bag of extra parts). This flaw arose the next day when I moved the stand to the location and the top came right off! The only place it was connected was at the back where the cabinet backing was nailed into the top edge. Not a disaster but more annoying. The issue was fixed by removing the top (carefully removing the small nails from the backing first) and applying professional wood glue to the side panel edges / the unfinished wood / around the dowels and the minifix hardware. All in all, Im happy with the stand. Im not going to be moving it around the house and it easily holds the tv. The legs are sturdy which, I think, is pretty important. Now that the glue has set, the top is firmly in place. Id recommend adding the glue during the initial assembly to avoid any potential problem. I recommend the stand with those caveats. Good luck. and came earlier than expected
