Update: well, my high hopes have been dashed with a dose of reality. One of the wheels is already broken; it still sort/of rolls, but it will break completely because the part that connects to the axle has separated and pieces fell out, so its like a wheel where half the spokes are gone.
My original review: This is the sturdiest and smoothest/rolling stool Ive owned (and Ive gone through several!). Two things I like are the base is narrow and curves down at the edges, making it less likely to injure my ankles. This style of wheel is much smoother and rolls over all surfaces with ease. My only complaint is that the chair is actually a bit high for me at its lowest setting (Im 55); it has the tallest post Ive seen, which for my comfort could be an inch or two lower. The question for me now is how long will it last. If it falls apart, Ill amend this review. But so far, so good. Its ok but smaller than expected.
