I purchased this rocking chair for my mom so she could use in her backyard patio. It is exactly as pictured and described. Although it is indeed solid wood, it feels light enough and it would be easy for my mom to move this chair from one place to another. You may want to consider purchasing a pair, they would look great if you have space on your front porch!
